Year 9/10 Borough Table Tennis Champions

Chingford entered two teams into this competition, both the A and B team won the group stages and progressed to the semi-finals. The B team (Houssein, Rehaan, Ibrahim, Daniel) lost to Buxton A team in the semi-final. They then found themselves in the 3rd place play off narrowly losing to Highams Park 3 games to 5. The A team (Toby, Oliver, Jerome, Shadab) won all their matches against rival schools on the way to the final, where they met the Buxton A team in 8 close games. Boys perform well in Table Tennis Championships

On Wednesday 23rd October a mixture of year 7&8 boys took part in the Waltham Forest Table Tennis Championships, which act as a qualifier for the School Games competition.
The boys were split into 3 teams of 4 and each boys played 4 games against other schools.
The A team were narrowly beaten into 2nd place by Lammas after winning their first game comfortably.
The tournament was eventually won by the hosts, Norlington.

The boys conducted themselves in a fantastic manner and competed really well, they were a credit to the school, well done boys!!!
